New Jersey Metal Barriers

New Jersey metal barriers are used to create permanent or temporary fencing and to enclose road sections, construction sites, and civil and industrial areas. They are suitable wherever a physical and visual barrier is required to protect people and property while also preventing visibility into the enclosed area.

To ensure greater rigidity and stability, for barriers with upright heights of 210 and 300 cm, a bracing element is recommended. This must be ordered separately and is designed to be connected and mechanically secured to the base and support uprights.

The element is recommended for all modules or, at a minimum, at alternating intervals.
A – DOUBLE-C UPRIGHT

Double-C upright made of cold-formed, press-bent Sendzimir-galvanised sheet steel, with a U-shaped base plate for fixing to reinforced concrete New Jersey barriers, or a plate and counterplate for floor installation, using bolts and anchors of suitable dimensions.

Available heights are 130, 210 and 300 cm. Depending on the required configuration, installation can be carried out using either plates or plates and counterplates.

The finish is exposed galvanised steel, with cold galvanising touch-up applied to the areas affected by continuous wire welding.

B – INFILL PANELS

Infill panels made of galvanised or pre-painted galvanised profiled sheet steel, available in heights corresponding to upright spacings of 41 and 82 cm, and in lengths matching upright spacings of 200, 250 and 300 cm.

The panels overlap one another, are inserted into the upright channels and secured at the top using special fittings and bolts.

The standard sheet thickness is 5/10 mm. Upon request, thicknesses of 6/10, 8/10 and 10/10 mm are available, in galvanised or pre-painted galvanised sheet steel.

C – INCLINED SUPPORT AND BRACING STRUTS

Inclined support and bracing elements for the barrier, designed for upright heights of 210 and 300 cm. They are specifically recommended for greater heights, with an indicative frequency of one strut every 2 or 3 uprights.

D – GATES

Single- or double-leaf gates made of galvanised tubes welded together, complete with dedicated hinges and infill panels of the same type as those used for the barrier.

Single-leaf version: dimensions 100 × 200 cm.
Double-leaf version: dimensions 225–400 × 200 cm.

A double plate is provided for padlock fastening.

This product is not designed to be used as a guardrail or handrail.

Always follow the intended applications and the instructions for use, operation and assembly. Improper or non-compliant use of the product falls outside the conditions of use specified by SOCOME.
